Mayura Saavi

Mayura Saavi is an independent journalist, storyteller and development communications professional whose work explores the intersections of gender, caste, culture, mental health and cinema. With over 15 years of experience, their work spans radio, TV journalism, documentary filmmaking, and as a media educator. They hold a Master’s in Media & Cultural Studies from TISS, Mumbai, and a Bachelor’s in Mass Media and Communications. They are the co-founder of Equity Media Collective, which uses media, art and culture to foster social change while focusing on the representation of marginalised communities.
