Jeyamohan

Jeyamohan has written nearly 300 books in Tamil and Malayalam, spanning fiction, criticism, travel, and philosophy. His 24-volume Venmurasu is a landmark modern retelling of the Mahabharata. Jeyamohan's works have been published in English in India, the United States, and the United Kingdom. He follows a personal principle of declining all government-sponsored awards, but he has received virtually every major non-governmental literary award in Tamil. He founded the Vishnupuram Literary Circle, an international organization that promotes Tamil literature, Tamil Wiki, an online encyclopedia, and Nithya Vanam, a center for teaching philosophy.
