Hyphen Connects: MGM College, Udupi

In a time when English dominates most academic and professional spaces, it is important — and perhaps urgent — for literary platforms to actively nurture multilingual conversations rather than simply represent them. With this spirit, we are coming to campuses to start conversations — not deliver lectures! Through short, participatory activities — memory-sharing circles, mini translation challenges, open mics, and quick debates — we want to create a lively space in your campus, where students reflect on language, identity, and creativity. The initiative will culminate in a writing contest where students will respond to a short theme or question announced by the magazine. The most compelling entries will be awarded a one-year complimentary subscription to Hyphen magazine, along with publication opportunities on our student platform.
